Exploring unique hot spots, local and beyond
I just got back from a quick trip to Detroit to attend the 2019 North American International Auto Show. I was invited (as a guest) to a Charity Gala which included an Auto Show Preview. There’s a fist time for everything and this was mine. I don’t know much about cars but I love a well executed event so this invitation was one I gladly accepted. It was fancy, it was beautiful, it was fun and it was worth the trip!
If you know me, you know I love a trip to New York City. I will go ANYTIME I have the chance. Before the holidays I had a chance to wander outside of the city and over to Brooklyn. One of the best discoveries was Roberta’s. It’s unique little restaurant tucked in the side of a building with an entrance that almost seems secret and a vibe that is more than cool. The pizza is a amazing and the service was fantastic. A definite must if you find yourself hungry in Brooklyn!
I’ve traveled to many places over the years and I’ve flown through Chicago more times than I can count BUT I’ve never been out of the airport. Recently I had the opportunity to visit this very cool city that has been on my bucket list for years and I LOVED IT! Such an interesting place with a very cool vibe. I can’t wait to go back! Here are a few of my favorite spots.
Bar hygge, Philadelphia
Have you heard of hygge? I'm LOVING this concept! Hygge (pronounced Huu-gah) is the Danish word used to describe a moment that feels meaningful, cozy, charming or extraordinary. It simply requires being present and recognizing that moment. This cool little restaurant called Bar Hygge, located on Fairmount Ave in Philly, offers just that experience with their cozy atmosphere and amazing menu. The Hygge Boards are my favorite. You choose from a selection of meats, vegetables and cheeses to create a custom board served with seasonal accompaniments and bread. Try adding a Hygge cocktail and you've got a perfect pairing. So good, you might want to add it to the list for your next trip!
